Is it worth it? I ended up paying $29.99 for my first box, after a $20 off code. I received the Post Winter Editor’s 2017 Box. It came within a week of ordering it in the mail in a beautiful lavender decaled box. It had been easy to sign up for with a choice of products I hand selected between one or the other. This or that selection choices are not exactly my favorite, because what are the odds you want neither product? If you want a surprise though fabfitfun will choose your products for you. Which if you’re up for some unexpected excitement could be astonishing, but if you happen to be picky you could end up disappointed.
FabFitFun says their boxes value range is over $200.00. Is this true? I decided to crunch some numbers, before I saw the What’s in the Box Total Retail Value card. But I found that with my selections my box indeed rang in at over $200.00 value. According to fabfitfun, their 2017 Post Editors Box ranges from $320-356. I priced my box to being about $241. I looked up products individually and used Amazon as a baseline product search in addition to using each product’s actual website. Here is the list of the products I chose & received.
-BB Dakota Poncho in Black-Summer & Rose Bar Chain Earrings in Rose-Private Party Gym Bag (Gym & Juice)-Way of Will Himalayan Salt Muscle Soak-Spongelle Body Buffer in Bulgarian Rose-MakeupDrop Silicone Makeup Applicator-RealHer Eyeshadow Palette (Do Your Squats)
-Whish Beauty Nourishing Dew MaskFFF Choices! FabFitFun gave me three choices of this or that between Fashion, Jewelry, and Wellness. I had a fashion choice between the Mer-Sea & Co Scarf in Grey or Blush ringing in at $98, or the BB Dakota Poncho in Black or Charcoal at $70. I also had a jewelry choice between the Summer & Rose Bar Chain Earrings in Rose $38 retail, or a Summer & Rose Double Bar Necklace in White $40 Retail. I had a wellness choice of African Botanics Revitalizing Therapy Gel ($65), or Private Party Gym Bag ($59). It seems where price is concerned I chose the less expensive of the two products given.
Where to get ITEMS! The BB Dakota Poncho can be found at, www.bbdakota.com and they offer 15% off products directly on their website, they had some pretty snazzy clothing items, but were quite steep in price. I didn’t find the earrings on www.summerandrose.com , but they do offer other simple, chic hipster accessory items besides jewelry, they weren’t really my style, however I was happy to hear of a new brand. The Private Party Gym Bag was my least favorite item, and compared to my Ban.Do duffel bag found at www.bando.com that I ordered as an add on for a quarter of the original price, it was very cheaply made for the retail value ($59), you can find it on www.shopprivateparty.com with all the other priced merchandise. Needles to say they do not have a clearance section, I did enjoy their denim jackets at $145 dollars a pop I will be stealing their idea and getting a cheap thrift store jacket embroidered myself. My super potent aromatic Way of Will Muscle Soak Himalayan Salt ($35) can be found on www.wayofwill.com. They offer a fun promotion wheel to get a discount on products. The company also provides free samples with purchase, and 15% off. Check out www.spongelle.com or Walmart for Bath products like my Body Buffer in Bulgarian Rose ($15) which smells amazing and is a limited addition fragrance. You can find my MakeupDrop Silicone Makeup Applicator ($20) at www.makeupdrop.com where you can also find tutorials of how to use it. This past year these makeup applicators were all the rage. My BFF Kaydee gave me one, that I never used. Since I paid for this one I better switch over to the Silicone Side. Find the eyeshadow Palette in Do Your Squats on www.realher.com ($28) where 20% of their gross profits go to help AAUW a non-profit organization that advances equity for women and girls through scholarship programs, leadership, advocacy, education, and research. Use code: Welcome20 for 20% off, or customize your very own valentine’s day box a $76.50 value for $40.00 with code: PERFECTLYPAIRED at checkout, or make two orders and use both codes! Last but not least find the 2 FL oz Whish Nourishing Dew Mask-Rose Hip + Lotus ($54) at www.whishbody.com subscribe with your email, and get 10% off. I also did an add on of the 2 FL OZ Whish Renewing Mud Mask with Bakuchiol for a fraction of the original cost with my FabFitFun box. These were both quite true to their expensive price tag in the $50 range.
Lets Recap! I spent $29.99 on my first FabFitFun box usually $49.99,
I added on four products Dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion 2oz $11.00 www.drbrandtskincare.com ($58) Cargo Wanderlust Palette $9.00 www.cargocosmetics.com ($34) Whish Renewing Mud Mask $9.00 www.whishbody.com ($48) Ban.do Work It Out Gym Bag $14.00 www.saksfifthavenue.com ($35) Subtotal: ($43.00) Retail Value: ($175), I saved in all: $20 off the FFF box, $132 off add ons, $221 +/- on fff box products. For a grand total of $373 dollars in total savings, or for $63 I got to sample $436 +/- worth of merchandise. You decide if it is worth it or not, but the data clearly states for me the answer was yes Fab Fit Fun is a lot of bang for the buck without even leaving the comfort of your pajamas, or bed. Anything that saves me time, brings a smile to my face within a few days, and countless hours of self-discovery and pampering later is totally worth it!
